'I have 'X' medical condition! Will CBD Help Me?
There is still a lot of research going into CBD (& other cannabinoids) to assess their medical value. Right now, we do not know enough to say for certain what CBD can do from person to person.
For that reason, as a retailer and a CTA member we cannot make any medical claims, or advise on an appropriate product for any kind of medical condition. All we can say is that CBD is a unique experience for everybody and the only sure-fire way to know what it can do for you, is by trying it out!
If you’re looking for a product recommendation based on a health condition then look below.
Top Tip: before purchasing anything, it is worth doing some research into the ‘endocannabinoid system‘ and which biological functions this system works with. That way, you can understand how the body uses cannabinoids & not overestimate their value.
Which dose will work for me?
It is quite hard to suggest a particular product/strength as CBD is a very individual experience.
For all new users, we always suggest that you start low & slow. This way your body gets used to the cannabinoids & uses them more effectively. So, when you work up, your body can make the most of the higher dose.
This does not mean that you need to start from bottom and work all the way up to the highest dose. If you have tried CBD before, or you wish to try a stronger formula, then you can start with a very low dose (one drop a day) and work up from there.
How long does it Take for CBD To work?
As dismissive as this seems, how long is a piece of string?
In short, CBD starts to work on a biological level within an hour or so. But you may be expecting to feel a difference in how you feel. For some people, this happens right away, but for others it may take a little time (a few weeks) to feel the full benefits. This is down to how effectively the CBD is absorbed into the blood stream, and how active your cannabinoid receptors are.
More often than not, CBD’s effects are very subtle so it is worth noting that you may only start to notice the small differences when you have stop.
Can CBD affect my current medication?
Generally, CBD does not affect most drugs or medicines, however, there are a few that can be affected by CBD. CBD is not alone as a natural substance that can affect the liver- things like Grapefruit, Watercress, St John Wort and Goldenseal do the same. Many drugs are metabolized into the body in the Liver- CBD is metabolized by the Cytochrome P450 system which is a pathway many other drugs take. CBD can affect the process in which other drugs are processed, – thus making their absorption faster, or slower than they would be on their own. This can either mean that the drugs you are taking may stay in your system for longer or there will be a reduction in their absorption. This could mean that taking CBD could lead to medicine becoming hyper-effective and leading to higher levels of drugs in your bloodstream than expected or could mean that your medication stops working/works less effectively. For more information please speak to a trained health professional to access more information about the P450 system..
It is recommended you should not take CBD if you are taking prescribed or regular medication, however, you should consult a trusted medical professional if you are committed to starting a course of CBD food supplements. Do not stop taking medication to replace it with CBD. Do not take this product if you are pregnant or nursing.

General Questions
How Long Will A Bottle Last?
Each of our 10ml bottles contain roughly 200 drops. This means that depending on how much you take, they should last between 4 to 6 weeks.
Our CBD paste is also in a 10ml tube and should contain 50 servings (which is a large pea) so if it is taken 2 times a day, it will last 25-30 days. We have actually found that a little of the paste goes a long way and can last up to 6 weeks.
Finally, our 20ml bottles contain an estimated 125 sprays. The recommended dose of 1-2, twice a day, should last between 4-6 weeks.
Will I fail a drugs test?
For all of the time that we have been working in the cannabis world, we have never known anybody to have failed a drugs test while taking any CBD products. In saying that, this does not guarantee that THC will not be detected during a spot test- there has been some instances (from the internet) where people have tested positive from a CBD product. The theory is that these products contained more THC than is currently legal in the UK, or the user took a larger dose than is expected.
Our full spectrum products contain 0.2% THC which is a very small amount, but it still active when consumed. At this level, it is very unlikely that THC will be detected. However, as stated it is not unheard of. We would certainly recommend that you disclose the use of these products to the tester/ employer to be safe.
We also offer a range of THC free CBD oils which do not contain the active THC compound, and less than 0.02% of THCa & THCv which are not psychoactive. They are classed as 0% THC oils.
I've Taken CBD & It Isn't Working 🙁
CBD is different for everybody (everybody uses cannabinoids differently, and we have differing numbers of active cannabinoid receptors – plus, things such as weight, metabolism & how we take our CBD can impact its effectiveness). In all honesty, for a lot of people, CBD is a little bit disappointing especially after reading all of the hype. Just to set expectations, CBD is not going to be a magic wand- it is a small part of a better healthier lifestyle.
While CBD works fantastically for some, it may take longer, or have more subtle effects for others. We can tell you for sure that the CBD will be working on a biological level, but it may be hard to feel a tangible difference in your day to day life (especially if you start with high expectations).
- If you have started with a low dose, you have the option to increase and try a stronger/ different formula. It sometimes takes some experimentation to find what works for you.
- It is important to think about what you are using the CBD for? The affects of CBD are often subtle, and change from person to person. If you are not getting what you expected, you may find that taking CBD is not worth it
- How are you taking the CBD? Sometimes, the way you take CBD changes its effectiveness. CBD skincare, Capsules, CBD in MCT oil, THC free oils and full-spectrum oils all have different characteristics when they are consumed. Once again, with so many variables it is hard to say why you are not getting the expected results.
- How Long have you been taking CBD? If you have only taken the CBD for a week, it is really not long enough to know whether it is working. CBD can take up to 2 or 3 weeks to work. CBD works better over a longer period of time.
What makes CBDiablo products different?
Love. Simple as. We really love what we do.
- Firstly, our pastes & CBD oils are bottled in the UK with the utmost of care, and our industry leading formulas we use are tried, tested and loved. There has been a lot of time, consideration and research put into everything- from our CBD oils, to our pastes & Capsules!
- When we started selling organic CBD Oil we had already been in the CBD world for a while. We become a little fed up with huge companies who sold over priced products and didn’t give back. We built our brand to shake the industry up and donate as much as we could to a charitable causes close to our hearts. So far, we have rustled a couple of jimmies. To us, this is a project of passion and we are all in!
Is CBD Oil Legal in the UK?
The one main reason why many people are hesitant to try CBD is down to the fact they may think it may be illegal- in fact, CBD oil UK wide has been legal since 2016. THC, which is the main psychoactive component of Cannabis (and gives you a high) is still prohibited by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The authorities have set out that even full spectrum CBD should contain more than 0.2% of THC. As you can see, each of our products have been carefully crafted to comply with legislation so our products are completely legal 😀 We also have a THC free range for those who wish to stay well away from the compound!
CBD is also classed as a food supplement, and not a medicine (like Melatonin) so is legal to purchase without a licence.
Will CBD Oil Make Me High?
Simple answer, no. Although the jury is still out, CBD is not ‘technically psychoactive’, meaning that it does not alter your state of mind, nor does it impare your motor functions. So, if you are worried about driving, or doing anything while taking a CBD oil or extract then you have nothing to worry about. It is the cannabinoid THC that gets you high. Fun Fact: CBD can actually counteract the effects of THC- so even a small amount of THC in our products will certainly not get you high.
What is CBD Used For?
Very good question! If you have landed here and you are a complete canna-rookie then feel free to check out our blog – we going into much more depth about the most important topics.
But, answering the question, CBD is widely being used as a food supplement to improve general well-being. Cannabinoid molecules interact with our Endocannabinoid system, which is part of our body’s ability to achieve homeostasis- CBD is basically like fuel for our body. As we are all different, our body uses cannabinoids differently, so what may work for one person, may not work for another!
When reading about CBD, you may have encountered lots of conditions and illnesses that CBD oil is said to impact, however, these are classed as ‘medical claims’ in the industry. As CBD is a food supplement, more research needs to be done to full understand the benefits of CBD, the benefits of a healthy Endocannabinoids System and the long term health impacts of cannabinoids. As a retailer, we cannot make any medical claims. (sad face)
What is the Difference between Hemp and Marijuana?
In short, really very little. Marijuana is simply ‘slang’ for Cannabis that was used recreationally (to get high). Hemp is part of the Cannabis family, but like all things, there are different types (or strains) of the plant, and each have different characteristics. They contain differing levels of Cannabinoids and Terpenes- each interact differently inside of the body. While high THC cannabis strains have been used by people to get high, Hemp contains a much higher percentage of CBD and is more commonly known for its fibrous texture, and its use in the textiles industry.
All CBD in the UK must be produced using the Sativa L Hemp strain. The Hemp plant does still contain THC but it is usually removed during the production process to ensure that the oil meets UK THC guidelines.
